CD-312 Capacitor Discharge Stud Welder Description The CD-312 is one of the smallest and lightest capacitor discharge units manufactured today, yet packs enough power to weld studs up to and including 5/16" diameter.  The unit's solid state design gives long life and dependability for years to come.  It is capable of welding materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and brass, etc.  The extremely fast weld time of the capacitor discharge process allows studs to be welded to materials as thin as .015 of an inch without burning through.
